The Alabang Ladies International Group works hard throughout the year raising funds for the many charities we support. No matter how hard we work, the needs far outweigh our resources. Last year we developed a new strategy to tackle the effects of rising prices on the already stretched budgets of many of our charities, and developed the Pacita Rice Sponsorship program.
The goal of the program is to guarantee a monthly supply of rice to feed the children of Pacita. Rice is the staple foodstuff here in the Philippines, and can be eaten up to five times per day. Not surprisingly the costs to provide the required amount of rice are high and often more "expensive" foods such as vegetables and meat are often sacrificed.
For just P777 per month you can sponsor rice for Pacita and help ensure that the children there receive nutritious meals. ALIG purchases and delivers the rice directly to Pacita, so you can be sure that the money you contribute goes where it should.
To join our sponsors, simply download this form and complete it as instructed. If you would like to know more details about how the program works or other ways you can help please contact us.
A number of non residents of the Philippines have asked if they can participate in the program. The answer is a resounding yes. We currently have a number of sponsors from the UK, New Zealand and the USA, and we'd be happy to let you know how we can sign you up, regardless of where you live. Just contact us.
